The B complex vitamin is frequently discussed and its importance to the body’s many activities. But, contrary to what the name implies, the B complex is not just one vitamin. The B complex vitamin contains eight B vitamins and a few additional compounds. The B complex vitamins are thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), cobalamine (B12), folic acid, pantothenic acid, and biotin. The B complex vitamin also contains choline, inositol, and para-aminobenzoic acid.
